Beds separated. Perfect experience. Amazing lounge design and playlist. Tasty diverse breakfast. Laundry service available. Plenty of bathrooms. Pub crawl and on-site bar. Beautiful, clean, metro station nearby. Helpful staff. Complete breakfast for €6 in bistro next door.

the position is good, close to interesting spots and metro (u-bahn)
I took a double room for 88 euros, they then charged my 6 euros more on site for "processing fees" of Booked.net. I'd say the overall price was too high for the service, the room was clean but nothing special afterall.

It was a short stay
They cheat with prices, they charge extra, in spite of booking confirmation you have. They've chanfged our room without informing us. There where problems with internet.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good variety of options to choose from. The bar and lounge area were cozy and provided a nice atmosphere to relax and unwind after a long day. The location of the hostel was perfect, as it was conveniently located near the primary places I needed to be and just a short walk to the nearest train station. the staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or requests.
One major downside was the cleanliness of the hostel. The room I stayed in had a musty smell, and the showers had a strong odor of dampness.

Comfortable single beds. Very clean and well-organized.- Easy access to subway station
Noise disruptions at night. Cramped and ugly single rooms without bathrooms.

The Reception staff were excellent and very helpful, whether in English or German. The breakfast was great and a reasonable price, and the nearby U-bahn station made getting around Berlin very easy. The room was simple, but very comfortable and clean. Showers and toilets also very clean and very functional. I didn't mind shared facilities, and never really came across other people. Very good value for money
I couldn't get my laptop to work on the wifi network for the first day, but after that it was ok. The copde system for the doors of rooms works very well, but unfortunately the door slamming, particularly after 10pm (and once at 3am!) was extremely noisy where I was on the 2nd floor. Not much you can do about this, but I do dislike being woken up by other people's door slamming.

An amazing place that exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The room was spacious and with beautiful furniture. The bathrooms and toilets were extremely clean and well kept. The staff were brilliant - they gave a lot of good suggestions for sites to see, and helped so much with directions around the town.
No lift. It is not a big deal as there are only 3 floors, unless you have a big suitcase, which was our case.

Comfortable beds, clean sheets, warm rooms in January. Friendly receptionist. Clean toilets. Cozy hostel. Good location and easy to reach by transport. English-speaking staff. Great for budget and solo travelers to meet new people. Spacious rooms, quiet even with many guests. Nice bar with good beer. Perfect for a few days on a budget.

Staff is polite.
We had to pay extra for linen and towels, Internet connection was poor, showers were quite far from the room. Second night was cheaper so it was a better value for money.

The staff were fantastic, the double room was nice and big with a sofa too - the shared toilets and showers were always clean when we used them. Decent area to and really easy to get too by the U-Bhan :)
The only small thing was there being no communal PC/Tablet - have seen this in Hostels elsewhere and always think they are very useful.

I stayed at Grand Hostel for two nights, after a previous 6 night stay in Berlin the week before. This time I wanted to stay on the other side of the city (previously stayed in Prenzlauer Berg). The Metro was being renovated inbetween two consecutive stations when I visited so the hostel wasn't quite as straightforward to get to as I was expecting. Luckily I'd bought the suitcase with four wheels - this came in handy for the walk between stations. When I did get there, I was pleased to see how close the Metro station was; it's only a few doors from the hostel. The hostel staff were fabulous and the room was lovely - just as the photos looked and the website described. I was right opposite the women's loos and didn't have a problem with noise at all. I'd chosen a single room with shared bathroom, perhaps all the rooms on this floor were single? The floor of the showers was a bit flooded when I went in at 8.30am as the curtains and glass doors don't stop all the water from dripping onto the floor. Nowhere to put your dry clothes other than the window sill but no real issue, just another little hostel quirk, they all have them. Usually I don't eat at hostels when there are cafes in the area but one morning I was so starving I went down to the cafe and had the tastiest breakfast - the vanilla yoghurt was divine! (I can still taste it and I've been home a week :) Interesting area, technically the former West Berlin but right next to the Wall, so this suburb was not a very popular area to live in during the division. It became quite multicultural and edgy; the character of the place is still evident - it looks a bit rougher-around-the-edges than the now-trendy parts of town but has some great bars and eateries. I wasn't interested in Checkpoint Charlie and the modern shopping area of Potsdamer Platz however the hostel is close to these sites.
Nothing stood out for me as I only had a two night stay. I would stay here again, to fully explore Kreuzberg.

The private room was comfortable and spacious, providing a good night's sleep. The shared bathroom was kept clean, which was a plus. The location of the hostel was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and popular attractions within walking distance.
The Wi-Fi was a hassle to use, requiring constant logins and occasionally being sluggish. Another drawback was the lack of an elevator, which made it tiring to carry luggage up multiple floors.
